Your Second Visit to Our Berkeley Practice

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.
Patient Education

You’ll see a short video that will prepare you to understand your X-rays and the doctor’s report-of-findings and recommendations.

Report Of Findings

You’ll see your X-rays and receive a complete report of the examination findings and the doctor will inform you if your case has been accepted. We only accept cases that we think we can help.

Treatment Plan

The doctor will outline a treatment plan designed for your unique spinal problem and health condition.

Expectations

Based on clinical experience, the doctor will explain your prospects for recovery and what you can do to help speed the healing process.

Financial Issues

So that we may direct all of our attention to your recovery, the financial responsibility for your case will be discussed and an estimate of cost for the initial phase of care will be given to you.

Adjustments

The doctor will use carefully directed, gentle adjustments to restore the movable bones of your spine to a more normal position in order to restore function. This is the Chiropractic “Adjustment.” Our patients enjoy their adjustments and often report the beginning feelings of relief and well-being sometimes as soon as their first adjustment.

Adjunctive Procedures

If necessary, the doctor may also recommend the use of Laser Therapy, Disc Decompression, application of ice, heat, exercise or the use of other procedures to help reduce inflammation and make you more comfortable.

Dr. Mik Asks some important questions of interest to Berkeley residents - Chiropractor Berkeley Dr. Mik Asks...

Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
Can chiropractic cure a child's ear infections?
Chiropractic isn't a cure for anything. Nor is it a treatment for ear infections. However, many children who suffer with ear infections also suffer from spinal problems in their neck, compromising nerves to the ear, depressing the immune system and preventing proper drainage. Can chiropractic help? Find out!
